What is Canary Road?

At Canary Road, we’re passionate about not just home décor goods – but making sure your spaces celebrate YOU. We make a wide range of personalized home décor gifts from towels to mugs to art prints, and a ton more! And guess what? We’re looking for some awesome interns to join our team this spring.

Besides being a self-starter, we’re looking for a driven and creative candidate to add to our paid internship program. Currently, we’re looking to fill two spots on our intern team for the Spring 2023 semester. You will be paid an hourly rate of $12 and must be able to meet a 15-20 hour per week minimum.

Who are we looking for?
Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will handle a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:

 

  • Content Marketing/SEO – Master our marketing tools to help spread buzz and awareness about the Canary Road brand.

  • Social Media – Delve into the curation and overall management of a variety of social platforms including Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

  • Email Marketing – Grasp campaign setup, drip content creation, promotional content creation and split testing.

  • Paid Advertising – Monitor paid social and search campaigns to make sure we’re getting the best return on our spend.

  • Analytics & Measurement – Learn how to use Google Analytics, the Amazon Seller system, and several other niche reporting tools.

Qualities of the Ideal Marketing Intern

As part of the team, you will handle a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to:

 

  • Internet savvy – Familiar with Asana, Google, Office, and a variety of social media platforms.

  • Skilled creator – Do you enjoy writing or blogging? Mastering TikTok transitions? Embarrassed at how much you still use Pinterest? GOOD! We need people that want to hone these passions and put them to use.

  • Strong with Excel/Sheets – We create a lot of reports and analysis documents and that means using tools like Excel to analyze data and metrics.

  • Organized – Our company has built a culture around effective time management and organizational skills. We want you to be able to manage your own time, tasks, and schedule.

  • High Character – Our team here is small and very much like a family. We support each other, respect each other and most importantly, trust each other. We are looking for decent people who respect others.

  • Studying this Stuff – Ideally, you’re enrolled in college studying Marketing, Advertising, or a related Communication field
